POLAR BEAR PLUNGE ☺
At Eagle Nest Lake State Park – What a way to bring in the New Year! We remove the ice long enough for all you adventurous jumpers to christen yourselves in our beautiful waters! Paramedics on hand! Bring your camera and be ready to capture some great shots.

SOUTHWEST SNOWKITE FEST ☺
Eagle Nest’s Newest Event! President's Weekend -Picture being harnessed onto a big kite with a snowboard on your feet, sailing across Eagle Nest Lake! Whew! Certified instructors will demonstrate. Seewww.swsnowkitefestival.com for dates & daily schedule of events.

ICE FISHING TOURNAMENT ☺

6:30 AM – We will serve a free breakfast for the veterans as they ride motorcycles across the country to the Wall in Washington.
6:30 PM – We will provide a special dinner for the RFTW riders. www.rftw.org Eagle Nest Senior Center.LAST YEAR WAS A HUGE SUCCESS WITH OVER 550 MEALS SERVED!

FARMERS MARKET IN EAGLE NEXT ☺
Come sample & purchase the freshest of local produce, eggs, wild caught salmon & lots of other goodies. We have even found pickled eggs and homemade butter there! Every Friday from 11:00-3:00 June through Labor Day Friday at the Golden Eagle RV Park, 540 West Therma.

3RD ANNUAL MOUNTAIN MAIN RENDEVOUS
This is a living history rendezvous pre-dating 1899. Come out and enjoy vendors and visitors alike in period costume and encampment, flint knapping, tanning, blacksmithing, primitive archery, tomahawk and knife throwing and much more! JULY 4TH - 8TH
JULY 4TH EXTRAVAGANZA ☺
Experience this home town 4th of July Parade with all the bells and whistles along with the Fireman’s BBQ, an Extravaganza of local and visiting merchants selling their wares, entertainment, all topped off with a spectacular fireworks display over Eagle Nest Lake.

THE GREAT OUTDOOR CAMP ☺
Free, weeklong summer camp for kids ages 10-14. Kids will experience archery, bb gun safety, fish & bird identification, lake stocking of fish, fishing, outdoor cooking, mountain lion & bear safety and much more! 9-noon daily. Does require a children’s fishing license. This is a partnership between NM Parks Dept, NM Game & Fish and the Eagle Nest Chamber of Commerce. JULY 28TH - 29TH
30TH ANNUAL HIGH COUNTRY ARTS AND CRAFTS FESTIVAL ☺
Juried artisans & craftsmen with hand made items come from all over the country for this indoor/outdoor event! Peruse the booths displaying everything from Native American art to hand made knives, pottery, paintings, fiber art & much more.

MISS NEW MEXICO GIRL 2012 COMPETITION
Sponsored & hosted by the Laguna Vista Saloon, from Sept. 1-3, includes the third annual Saloon Girl costume contest, a hoedown, door prizes & a great time at this beautiful, historic saloon and all around Eagle Nest!
SEPTEMBER 22ND - 30TH
FISHFEST ☺
It’s a whopper! Held on the beautiful Eagle Nest Lake! The fishing tournament is sponsored & hosted by the Eagle Nest Marina. On the 22nd two events will entertain you! The Chamber sponsors a fish fry and the Laguna Vista Saloon hosts a Worm Eating Contest! It’s a fun event for families and everyone!

COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS POTLUCK SUPPER ☺
Bring a dish to share at this amazingly festive Holiday meal…the old fashioned way. To be held at the Village Community Center. Cohosted by the Village and the Chamber of Commerce. December 16, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. Contact the Chamber.
